Handling of Fire on Board Outside of Smoking Rooms

Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) outside of smoking rooms is strictly prohibited, and the use of fire on board is entirely banned, except for smoking tobacco (including electronic cigarettes) in smoking rooms. Smoking outside of smoking rooms is a highly dangerous act that could lead to fire accidents. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation to ensure the safety and order of the voyage.
Furthermore, if any smoking activity is detected in prohibited areas, or if cigarette butts, ashes are brought in, or disposed of in trash bins, a cleaning fee (for deodorization) and disturbance fee of 20,000 yen (excluding tax), along with the room fare and facility usage fee (for the period the facility cannot be used) will be charged.
In all areas excluding smoking rooms, such as cabins, public spaces, parking spaces, the use of any fire-related items like matches, lighters, candles, portable stoves, or gas canisters is strictly forbidden.
※Prohibition of Acts Endangering Passenger Safety According to Article 23-2 of the Maritime Transportation Law
Smoking in prohibited areas of the ship (Article 23-14 of the Maritime Transportation Law Enforcement Regulations) is prohibited according to Article 23-2 of the Maritime Transportation Law. Violating this regulation will result in a fine of up to 300,000 yen (as per Article 53 of the same law).
For Passengers Bringing Bicycles on Board (Handling of Luggage/ Special Luggage Fare)
Bicycles that, even when folded, exceed a total combined length of 2 meters and those that cannot be folded will be charged the special luggage fare for bicycles.
