Internet access is available for all users of computers with a wireless access point/tablets/smartphones onboard or at the terminal.

Our on-board Wi-Fi service is provided through ground radio wave. Therefore, users of the service may experience unstable radio waves depending on the crossing area due to the limits on the communication capacity. Please note that the on-board Wi-Fi service is provided as part of our effort to improve the passengers’ boarding experience, and there is no guarantee of ideal internet environment or communication speed. Locations available for Wi-Fi connection

On the ship
  • Lobby area on the 5th through 7th floor, Drivers Room, and each cabin
At the terminal
  • Shinmoji Daiichi Terminal:Lounge on the 4th floor
  • Shinmoji Daini Terminal:Lounge on the 1st floor
  • Kobe Terminal:Lounge on the 2nd floor
  • Izumiotsu Terminal:Lounge on the 2nd floor

How to use

On the ship (Lobby area on the 5th through 7th floor, Drivers Room, and cabins other than Royal and Suite)
  • For "Izumi" and "Hibiki": Select network name (SSID), "izumidx" or "hibikidx". The terms of service screen will be displayed. Select "Agree" or conduct SNS authentication to be able to use the service for a period of two hours (A user needs his/her own account and a password for SNS authentication).
  • For ”Settsu” and “Yamato”: Select “settudx” or “Yamatodx” for network name (SSID), which links to a screen for terms of service. Select Agree. A passenger may use the Wi-Fi for a period of 2 hours.
On the ship (Royal and Suite cabins)
  • Please refer to the Connection Method located in the cabin. A passenger has unlimited access to Wi-Fi.
At the terminal
  • Select “HANKYU FERRY1~4” for network name (SSID). After entering the password (posted in each lounge), select SNS authentication, and then select “Agree”(A passenger needs to register account and password in advance for SNS authentication.) A passenger may use Wi-Fi up to 4 sessions per day with 30-minute duration per session. For more details, please confirm with the procedure manual posted in each lounge.

Please note that on-board
Wi-Fi does NOT have a high-speed connection.

Service areas

  • (1) Please note that the on-board Wi-Fi service is provided for free of charge as part of our effort to improve the passengers’ boarding experience and there is no guarantee of ideal internet environment or communication speed.
  • (2) Our on-board Wi-Fi service is provided through ground radio wave, therefore, there are limits on the communication capacity.
  • (3) The radio waves may be unstable compared to the ground Wi-Fi, and the connection speed may not be satisfactory.
  • (4) You may experience poor connection when multiple passengers attempt to connect at once or when the ferry is passing the ocean area with bad radio wave condition.
  • (5) We take no responsibility and we are not liable for any connection issues/problems.

Email and LINE text transmission
*It is unsuitable for sending/receiving messages with images/videos attached.

Unsuitable usage of on-board Wi-Fi

Video viewing (e.g. YouTube)
Viewing of Web pages containing images and videos, etc. (e.g. Yahoo)

What to do in case of poor Wi-Fi connection

  • Try disconnecting and connecting Wi-Fi again. You may be reconnected with luck.
  • You may get a better connection by switching to your own carrier line.
