About us

Welcome to Hankyu Ferry

Hankyu Ferry operates ferries that connect Shinmoji and Kobe, and Shinmoji and Izumiotsu every day.
We provide an extraordinary cruising experience with hotel-like guest rooms and a wide variety of onboard facilities embellished with a beautiful view from the deck.

    This room is designed for people with transfer constraint and the automatic door opens and closes slowly for their safety.
  • (Note 2) Deluxe Western-style double occupancy with-pet rooms are available only for “Settsu” and “Yamato".

  • Adult fares are for 12 years of age or older.
  • Child fares are for children who are enrolled in elementary school.
  • 1 One infant over 1 year old and not yet in elementary school is free for each adult. However, if the infant is in a cabin other than a standard Japanese-style room, a child fare is required.
    However, a child fare is required when using a seat on a ship in a cabin other than a standard Japanese-style room.
  • If you use a cabin other than a standard Japanese-style room with a capacity of less than the maximum number of passengers, a charter fee will be charged depending on the cabin. Please contact us for details.
  • Karaoke rooms are available on all ships.

  • Reservations can be made via online only 20% off the regular price. ※Excludes periods C and D.
    Reservations made on the day of departure at the ticket window at the passenger terminal will be offered at a regular price.
  • Reservation is available from 2 months to 7 days before boarding.
  • Round-trip reservations are unavailable. Please purchase one-way tickets for both of your outbound trip and return trip.
  • Please enter requirements in the reservation form and send it to us. We will reply after checking availability.
  • Those who made a reservation online do not need to fill in the boarding list on the day of the scheduled departure.

Notes

Reservation
  • Reservations are accepted 2 months to 7 days prior to departure.
  • Round-trip reservations are unavailable. Please purchase one-way tickets for both of your outbound trip and return trip.
  • Guest room type varies depending on the ship.
  • One online reservation can process only up to 8 people including infants. Please complete the reservation procedure again for additional guests.
Payment

Please check-in at the check-in counter in terminal, 1 hour before departure.
We accept payments by Japanese cash or credit card.
Cars/
motorcycles
  • The car which has the number begins with 3 or 5 or 7 next to the city name on the plate will be applied passenger car fares.
  • For the cars other than the above will be applied truck fares.
  • Online reservation is unavailable for unmanned transportation, trailers in traction with a car/motorcycle, and trucks.

  • Please remember to bring your automobile inspection certificate as we will be asking you to present it for boarding.
Ladies' room

For those who booked the ladies' room, please note that a separate room will be assigned to accompanying male passengers.
Pets
  • The pet room charge indicated is for one pet. Please make a reservation for the correct number of cages that match the total number of pets.
  • There is no discount available for pet room cage charges.

Receiving your ticket
  • If you cannot find emails from Hankyu Ferry, possibility is that your email storage is full, or the email has been sorted into your spam folder. Please change your setting to allow emails from @hankyuferry.com to receive your confirmation email.
  • Please have your reservation number ready by printing your confirmation email as it will be required on the day of your scheduled departure. Please present your reservation number to our staff at the terminal before boarding.

*Automobile inspection certificate is required at the ticket window if you are boarding with a car.

Method of payment

We accept cash and credit card payments. Please complete your payment at the ticket window on the day of your scheduled departure.
*Please note that we do not accept online payments.

Credit cards accepted

JCB/American Express/Diners Club/Discover/VISA/Master Card/UC/MUFG/DC/UFJ/Nicos/Toyota Card/Cedyna/Nissenren are accepted. Only single payments are accepted.

Refund fees are charged per passenger and per vehicle.

Refund fees for pet room fees and private rental fees are the same as for "Cabins other than those mentioned above".

The refund fee for pet rooms is 100 yen per pet.

A fee will be charged for cancellations of reservations (including cancellations on the day of boarding).
After purchasing a boarding ticket, or for changes to credit card payments made on internet reservations, the first change is free of charge.
However, this is only valid within the validity period (7 days including the day of boarding). For changes from the second time onwards, a fee will be charged as the reservation will be treated as a new reservation after cancellation.

Terminal and directions

  • Access by public transportation and connecting bus
  • Coupons and reservation tickets other than the boarding tickets and shipment tickets issued by us cannot be used to board. Please fill in the boarding list (application form) and exchange your ticket with one of our boarding tickets and shipment tickets at the terminal ticket window.
  • Please allow enough time to be at the terminal and complete your boarding procedures. We may have to dishonor your reservation if you fail to complete your boarding procedures.

Shinmoji Terminal

The building is designed after the Council Hall in the Imperial Palace during Heijo-kyo during the Nara period. Completed in January 1991.
