Handling of vehicles

Classification of passenger cars

The vehicles listed in the table below are subject to passenger car fares.

  1. The classification numbers in the table above are based on vehicle registration regulations and the Road Transport Vehicle Act.
  2. Buses, bonnet type, and cab-over type vehicles among automobiles will be subject to freight vehicle (truck) fares.
  3. Vehicles not listed in the table above will not be treated as passenger cars.
  4. Vehicles over 6 meters may be treated as trucks, so please inquire for details.
  5. Motorcycles with sidecars and tricycles (such as trikes) will be subject to passenger car shipping fares.
  6. Passenger car fares for one driver are free for standard Japanese-style rooms. If using a premium cabin, the difference will be charged. Additionally, passengers will incur separate passenger fares and fees.

Regarding motorcycles and bicycles

  1. Separate passenger fares and fees will apply.
  2. Motorcycle fares are set based on engine displacement.
  3. Strollers, child vehicles, and special patient vehicles are treated like bicycles.
  4. Folding portable bicycles will be subject to checked baggage fares.

However, bicycles with a total length exceeding 2 meters will incur special baggage fares (for bicycles).

Note: Vehicles meeting the following conditions will be treated as trucks.

  • The total length of the vehicle is 6 meters or more.
  • The number of passengers is 3 or fewer (excluding 2(4)).
